Baseball

YMS baseball typically holds 18-20 players from both the 8th grade and the 7th grade.  Our program is built on the philosophy that every day you can get better, or you can get worse.  You never stay the same.  What will you choose today?  This rule governs our entire middle school program from coaches to players.  We teach all of our student athletes that success in school permeates success on the baseball field. 

Depending on the calendar year, most tryouts begin the first week of February.  Typically, tryouts last 3-5 days. All of our baseball players are asked to commit to representing only YMS during our baseball season.  Upon completion of the our season, players are encouraged to play for other teams to prepare for high school competition.
