Mrs. Cassidy Valerino, Principal

Mrs. Valerino is a lifelong resident of York County and is thrilled to be serving in this new role as Principal of York Middle School for the 2021-2022 school year. Last year, she was the 7th grade assistant principal at YMS. Before coming to York, Mrs. Valerino served as a classroom teacher, academic interventionist, teacher leader, assistant principal and principal for many years in a neighboring school district. She has a passion for leading and learning which has spanned over two decades. Mrs. Valerino is excited to be a part of the York Middle School family and wants the best for each and every middle schooler who enters the doors here. Personally, Mrs. Valerino has a wonderful husband of nearly 20 years and a 7th grade daughter who keeps her busy with competitive dance and extra-curricular activities. She enjoys spending time with family, working out, hiking, and visiting the ocean as often as possible. Mrs. Valerino is looking foward to an amazing year as a York Middle School Cougar!
